Hogan Lovells advises Bitfield NV on the establishment of a newly formed Bitcoin mining company
Led by its Frankfurt lawyers Prof. Dr. Fabian Pfuhl (Counsel / IPMT), Dr. Alexander Stefan Rieger (Partner / Infrastructure) and Prof. Dr. Michael Schlitt (Partner / Capital Markets), international law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Bitfield NV on the establishment of a Bitcoin mining company and the necessary infrastructure for rapid roll-out. Hogan Lovells advised on the purchase of high-performance mining hardware as well as on the structuring and negotiation of the agreements for the hosting of mining hardware and on further project development of a mining data center.
The German HPC company Northern Data AG will take over hosting of the mining pool in a data center built specifically for this purpose. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase and service prices.
“In this quickly growing and dynamic environment, Bitfield is able to become one of the largest global players in the Bitcoin mining industry, with the computing power it will deploy over the course of the next 12 months.” says Maximilian Martin, CEO of Bitfield NV.
