Natural Resource Management
Natural Resource Management

We work on a range of natural resource issues: incentive-based strategies for compliance with listing and habitat provisions of the Endangered Species Act (ESA); wetlands and water (CWA) permitting (section 404) and mitigation; and trading in pollution and carbon credits. We have a solid track record with tax-leveraged real estate transactions with historic preservation and conservation components. This includes conservation easements, bargain sales of conservation parcels, and rehab tax credits.

We have close working relationships with the U.S. Forest Service and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. We assist with permitting of projects on National Forest lands, and applications for funding from programs that promote sustainable forestry (Forest Legacy) and agriculture.
